It's difficult to miss, the 21c Museum Hotel in Downtown Bentonville has featured an eye catching Fleetwood Cadillac limousine covered with coins. I cannot help but admire the strikingly cool artistic showpiece every time I pass by the 21c in Bentonville.
Upon close inspection I noticed amazing detail with the pattern. Only three kinds of coins are used and they are used in a very specific design.
After looking into the recent sale of the hotel chain I came across this very interesting article about this Caddy covered in coins. It isn't just a cool car and esthetic showpiece. This amazing creation was done with great detail and thought. Everything from the original cost of the car and the economic environment from that time was carefully considered by the artist.
