Where Quality of Life Meets Economic Abundance

Why Northwest Arkansas is the perfect place to live and invest...

Northwest Arkansas has long been a pillar of the American Dream. This is where history, charm, culture and innovation intersect to create a brilliant quality of life for the growing community of Northwest Arkansas.

Home of Wal-Mart corporate headquarters, Sam’s Club, Tyson Foods, and JB Hunt Transportation Services. Fortune 500 companies have provided stable economic growth and cultivated strong community resources.

Our small towns have grown to be a major hub of science, technology, culture, and community activities. Within the natural beauty of the Ozarks you will find vast recreation areas with over 28 miles of mountain biking trails, boating, hiking, and mountain climbing.

Architectural masterpieces can be found in NWA such as The Thorncrown Chapel designed by famed Arkansas architect E. Fay Jones, Crystal Bridges American Art Museum designed by world-renowned architect Moshe Safdie, and The Bachman-Wilson House a stunning example of Frank Loyd Wright’s design.

Benton County has received the top rank in Arkansas for new investment, GDP growth, real estate growth, and new Federal funding. Home sales have increased along with home prices, up 15.4% in 2017 for both Washington and Benton Counties.

“The big selling points in Northwest Arkansas are jobs and [quality of life] amenities and lower cost of living, and a big part of that is home prices. They still don’t compare to other regions and metros we like to compare ourselves to.” - Mervin Jebarai, economist with University of Arkansas and director of the Center for Business and Economic Research.

New developments are brining more economic growth to the area including the new Wal-Mart Home Office and multiple projects funded by JB Hunt and Hunt Ventures. So dedicated to the community Wal-Mart is building a new headquarters on on 350 acres estimated to be a $1 billion project.

Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art attracts art lovers from near and far with it's world-renowned architecture, amazing collection of American masterworks, and 120-acre park with walking trails and spring fed ponds.

JB Hunt has steadily expanded it’s headquarters with new towering buildings which lead the way in architectural design with it’s LEED certified construction. Their current project, The JB Hunt Training & Technology Center will continue to expand technology jobs in the Northwest Arkansas area.

World class medical facilities have continually expanded in the area and will expand with a further $247 million investment for new and improved Mercy facilities in the area.

Pinnacle Hills Golf Course will continue to be a major stop in the LPGA tour with strong support by local employers: Wal-Mart and Procter & Gamble. The recent expansion of more than 28 miles of award-winning mountain bike trails now bring thousands of riders from all over the country each year. NWA has become an amazing cycling community with bicycle-friendly amenities for locals and visitors to enjoy.
