One of the most successful bike share companies VeoRide has just been given the exclusive right to operate a bike-share program in the rights-of-way within the Fayetteville City limits for three years.

Finalized contract with VeoRide includes: Subscribers will now receive unlimited one-hour rides. The city and university each agreed to pay $20,000 annually with the A&P Commission adding $10,000 to help subsidize the cost for residents and visitors who purchase subscriptions for bicycle usage.

Fayetteville City Council approved the contract unanimously saying this is "The best priced option seen for ridders”. Bikes will be available on a subscription basis anywhere from $4.99 - $17 a month, or a pay-per-ride rate. Bicycles will be available for pickup in and around the downtown area, along city trails, on the UA campus.
