Benton County has received the top rank in Arkansas for new investment, GDP growth, real estate growth, and new Federal funding. Home sales have increased along with home prices which were up 15.4% in 2017 for both Washington and Benton Counties.

Developments & Investments Expanding Northwest Arkansas Influence 

Wal-Mart
Walmart is the world's largest retailer and has been in its current home office in Bentonville, AR since 1971. Wal-Mart’s announced in September 2017 it’s new corporate campus will be built on the east side of Southeast J Street, bordered by Arkansas Highway 102 to the south and Arkansas Highway 72 (Central Avenue) to the north, and Southeast Eighth Street dividing the property. The total footprint is about 350 acres. It’s continued commitment to the Northwest Arkansas area along with the Walton Family Foundation support to the community shows the commitment to the Northwest Arkansas area strong economic future. 

Sam’s Club Home Office
Sam’s Club is headquartered in a 382,000-square-foot, four-story building just off Moberly Lane in Bentonville. 

JB Hunt Transport Services Corporate Headquarters 
In 2017 J.B. Hunt Transport Services completed construction of a nearly 144,000-square-foot office building at its corporate headquarters in Northwest Arkansas, east of Interstate 49I in Lowell. The corporate headquarters now encompasses 494,000 square feet. The 144,000-square-foot tower was designed to be LEED Silver certified.

The four-story building can accommodate more than 1,200 employees, This building is fully operational and houses highway services, sales and e-commerce, among other departments. The building includes a food and beverage market on the ground-level terrace, a 350-seat auditorium and 24-hour gym for employees.

The new building also has access to new walking trails that will connect to the Razorback Regional Greenway, and features a 24-hour gym for employees that includes new cardio and weight equipment, group exercise rooms, lockers and showers.

JB Hunt Training & Technology Center
Scheduled to be completed in October 2019 J.B. Hunt Transport Services is working to expand their technology talent pool. J.B Hunt recently broke ground on a 132,883-square-foot Training and Technology Center, about a half-mile east of the company’s corporate office building.

The four-story building has room for more than 1,000 occupants, including employees in training, IT and technology support.

Hunt Tower - Pinnacle Hills
Hunt Tower is a new Class A - 10 story Office building at the corner of Pinnacle Hills Pkwy and J.B. Hunt Drive in the heart of Pinnacle Hills, Rogers, AR. The building features an expansive terrace and fitness center on the 2nd floor. This magnificently designed office building is LEED Certified leading the community with its design.

Mercy
With the generous support of the Northwest Arkansas community, Mercy is investing $247 million in expanding its facilities and services for Northwest Arkansas allowing them to provide more care to the Northwest Arkansas community than ever before. This project will enhance access to quality health care, economic development and quality of life throughout the region — for generations to come.
