Frequently asked

How does the success fee work?

Tiers 1–3 pay a low flat fee to get your listing live, plus a small success fee (0.5% or 1%) when the home actually sells — so MCG earns more only when you sell for more. On a $470,000 home with Tier 1 that's $2,350 at closing, and you keep over $10,400 more than with a traditional agent. It's disclosed in your listing agreement at intake.

What's the difference between 6-month and 12-month?

You choose your listing duration at signing. A 12-month listing adds 30% to the flat fee only — the success fee is identical either way. Tier 4 is a traditional commission with no duration limit.

Can I add services later, or upgrade tiers?

Yes — add-ons can be added at checkout or anytime during your listing, and you can upgrade tiers with your prior fee credited: Tier 1→2 is $700 more, Tier 1→3 is $2,000 more, Tier 2→3 is $1,300 more. One exception: your 6-month or 12-month listing duration is chosen only at checkout and is locked in once you submit. The discounted 6-month rate can't be extended to 12 months after the fact — if you want the longer term, select it before you pay.

What about the buyer's agent commission?

Any compensation you choose to offer a buyer's agent is optional, fully negotiable, and handled privately under current MLS rules — it is not posted on the MLS. We'll recommend the right approach for your property.
